Double anniversary: Hörzentrum Oldenburg and HörTech celebrate together!

On Thursday, the two companies Hörzentrum Oldenburg and HörTech celebrated their 25th and 20th anniversaries together with almost 200 test persons in a cheerful atmosphere.

A garden party with music and feasting awaited the visitors in the hearing garden at the House of Hearing in Oldenburg. The two musicians Annemarie & William von Rapalje played many well-known Irish melodies and opened the ears of the listeners.

The participants also had open ears for research in other ways, because the celebration was realised as a thank you for the many people who make research at the Haus des Hörens possible in the first place. "Testing hearing systems in the laboratory or in everyday life, interviews and measurements with many different people are indispensable for our work," Sebastian Quirandt, Managing Director of both companies, sums up the relevance of the subjects' activities. "It is therefore important to us to say thank you to the people who regularly give up time for our research work. We are pleased that we were able to celebrate this anniversary party even under pandemic conditions."

All in all, the two companies can look back on an exciting success story, in which numerous studies and research projects have been realised and global excellence has been achieved.

Hörzentrum Oldenburg was founded in 1996 to bridge the gap between basic university research and clinical practice. Since then, Hörzentrum Oldenburg gGmbH has been improving hearing diagnostics and rehabilitation for hearing-impaired people through application-oriented audiological research, sales-independent hearing aid consultations and specialised audiological diagnostic consultations, which will be offered again from spring onwards, and is thus an important pillar in Oldenburg's hearing research.

HörTech gGmbH, which was founded in 2001, has successfully built a bridge between scientific findings and applications in business. As competent partner in the field of research and development, the centre has specialised in the area of hearing aid system technology and technology transfer and develops diagnostic procedures for use by hearing care professionals and ENT doctors.
