GÖTTINGEN SENTENCE TEST (GÖSA)
Speech audiometry with everyday sentences
The Göttingen Sentence Test (GÖSA) is an audiometric test to determine the speech recognition threshold in quiet or in noise. Complete sentences are used as speech material, which reflect the everyday speech situation well. By matching the background noise to the speech material, the speech recognition threshold can be determined very accurately in a short time using an adaptive procedure. With loudspeaker presentation of the GÖSA, spatial speech-noise situations from everyday life are also simulated, for example to investigate the benefits of bilateral hearing aid fitting.
Features
- 10 test lists with 20 sentences each
- 6 test lists with 30 sentences each
- automatic, adaptive level control for measuring speech recognition thresholds
- measurement of speech recognition thresholds between 20% and 80% intelligibility possible
- measurement with continuous noise possible
Fields of application
- Measurement of speech recognition threshold
- Comparison of different measurement situations and hearing system settings due to very high accuracy
- Recognized in Germany according to the “Hilfsmittelrichtlinie” (auxiliary means guideline) to prove the benefit of hearing aid fitting
Advantages of the GÖSA
- Use of everyday sentences
- Very high accuracy
- Short measurement time
- No practice necessary
- Measurement at rest or in noise
