MULTI-FREQUENCY ANIMAL SOUND TEST (MFAST)
Hearing test with animal sounds Playful determination of the hearing threshold
The mFAST is a playful procedure that fits into the living environment of children and was developed by Prof. Frans Coninx.
The animal voice test uses four animal voices (cow, dog, cat and bird) with medium frequency (0.5, 1, 2.5 and 5 kHz) and determines audiometric hearing thresholds in an adaptive procedure.
The advantages of mFAST
- Suitable for very young children without sufficient language skills and with low word span (from 3 to 4 years of age)
- Playful procedure to promote children's attention and motivation
- Adaptive procedure for rapid determination of the individual hearing threshold in the high and low frequency range (between 500 Hz and 5 kHz) by means of animal voices
- Simple operation
Under "R&D" you can download the R&D version of the measurement procedure as well as a free 30-day test license. The CE-certified version can be obtained from your audiometer manufacturer.
