Speech audiometry with monosyllables for adults
The von Wallenberg and Kollmeier single-syllable rhyme test (WAKO) is an audiometric test for determining speech intelligibility in quiet and in noise. It is performed as a closed rhyme test. Each time a word is presented, five rhyming or similar response alternatives are shown, from which the understood word is selected. It is suitable for testing hearing impaired persons and cochlear implant users.
