MONOSYLLABIC RHYME TEST ACCORDING TO WALLENBERG & KOLLMEIER (WAKO)
Speech audiometry with monosyllables for adults
The von Wallenberg and Kollmeier single-syllable rhyme test (WAKO) is an audiometric test for determining speech intelligibility in quiet and in noise. It is performed as a closed rhyme test. Each time a word is presented, five rhyming or similar response alternatives are shown, from which the understood word is selected. It is suitable for testing hearing impaired persons and cochlear implant users.
Under "Downloads" you can download the R&D version of the measurement procedure as well as a free 30-day test licence.
